Woe 4: Overthinking Exes (?)

Okay, so technically he's not an ex.
But the overthinking part is definitely there.
And he was somebody.

Since his phonecall (see Woe #1), he has been on my mind.
Last night in my dreams, and today in my daydreams.

Don't you hate it when they invade your mind like that?
And they know just how to do it...

Woe 3: In Love with my Boss! ahhhhh

leave it to me to be working in a male-dominated field and fall for my boss! ok so LOVE is a strong word.... i guess i should say its more of a super size humongo crush!
(and no i'm not psychO - its jus everyday i see him, the butterflies increase - it's out of my hands!)
unfortuneatly not only am i too shy to do anything about it (which is probably best given sexual harrassment laws in the workplace), but he seems like too much of a gentleman/professional for me to be able to tell if there are any mutual feelings watsoever!
... all i can do for now is wonder....sighhh

Woe 2: Guys who can't carry a conversation past the "Yes, I have a boyfriend" line

Why is it that when a guy asks you if you have a boyfriend, and you answer yes, the conversation takes a rapid drop off?

Woe 1: Unexpected late night calls from past loves (?)

Just when you think you forgot the guy.
You know what I mean. It's like poof he's out of your head,
and then
BAM he comes right back in to remind you of why you first swooned over him.

That's petey (for me- girl 1).

So tonight Petey calls me, typical Petey, so calm and casual. Like nothing.
Like it hasn't been ummm months or years for that matter.

Just when everything is like perfect in my little world.
And I guess that's how it happens anyway.

This is how it goes down:

I get a call from a random area code. And there is only one person who I know in that area code.
(okay there are more than one persons, but there is only one person that comes to mind, and anyone else would be saved in my address book, right?)
So I pick up, and its him, I already knew before he had to confirm if I knew.

him: hi
me: hi
him: do you know who this is?
me: of course I know who this is [giggle]

why did i giggle? This is my school girl side coming out of me.

The conversation continues until he finds out I am now seeing someone... and seeing someone seriously.
Then the conversation drops rapidly. Like kamikaze status. (which brings me to woe #2).

After the convo, comes the texts.
This is my relay to girl 2.

girl1: omggg
[22:14] girl1: he goes
[22:14] girl1: why is that babe
[22:14] girl1: BABE
[22:14] girl2: hahahahaaaa
[22:14] girl2: whoaaaa
[22:15] girl1: i wrote back YOU are TROUBLE

[22:16] girl1: he wrote back.. Im a trooper!

[22:23] girl2: sorry

[22:23] girl2: lemme read
[22:24] girl2 waaaaht is wrong with him!
[22:24] girl1: i said... i never got that impression from u.. it always seemed more physical with you
[22:25] girl1: then he said.. i guess i wasnt good expressig myself
[22:25] girl2: wat a liar
[22:25] girl1: me: i dont know what to say .. why did u wait to tell me now
[22:25] girl2: exactlyy
[22:25] girl1: him... i dont kno.. stupid story of my life
[22:26] girl1: him: good luck to you i missed out
[22:26] girl1: me : im seeing someone ... and things are good.. its not like before where i could take that risk... i really had a thing for you u kno
[22:26] girl1: him/... i dont want to intrude
[22:27] girl1: him: i still feel for you
[22:27] girl2: oh gosh
[22:27] girl2: he's tryna butter u up!
[22:27] girl1: me: u have horrible timiinng

Okay, so you get the idea. Things are good and then bad boy come to &#$$ it up for you.
It's not even like you're tempted to do anything, but he knows just how to take your mind off the prize.
